Trivial

After a few weeks of believing that I magically came up with 'All in the Mind', turns out it's the slogan from Trivial Pursuit. Geek. I noticed this earlier when I was staring at the game, which my mother got me for Christmas. It's fun, except that she got the Australian edition which makes it super hard as I know nothing about cricket, especially not Australian cricket.

Anyway, time is flying right now, just to pinch another saying. The last three weeks have been crazy, which brings me to the uncomfortable time when I realise that I've been back at uni for three weeks, and done very little. Which is worrying. I know that working full time and then studying is a huge undertaking, but I'm still in the mindset where things will work out. Except that they might not. Porn class is going well though, that one I'm enjoying. The work for that doesn't seem like a chore at all...

But a lot has happened in this time, including:

1. I turned 23.
2. We had a great party.
3. I got some great new jeans.
4. I think I need to find a new flat, given that our lease in about to expire.
5. Much making up/breaking up of couples around me.
6. Much movie viewing (would go some way to explaining lack of uni work).
7. I decided to move to Scotland in a year and a half.

Hmm this appears less significant, being that jeans are article #3. But time really is going a little nuts. The flat situation is possibly the most stressful and the Scotland idea the most exciting.

Okay, so not that trivial.

I went to a party last night that boasted pinatas, which people hit excitedly while everyone watched. This was the point where I slipped up and had a cigarette. I stole one from Hayden, a friend's boyfriend who was up for the weekend from Welly. I don't know why the two are linked, but I had some horrible image of parties being like this from now on. Even ours was relatively mild in terms of excitment and scandal. Maybe it's silly to measure a night like that, but it does make things interesting. Last night, while nice, wasn't very interesting. And I really wish that I wouldn't smoke at all. I can now feel my lungs rebelling even if I have a single cigarette. And it's not nice at all.

Today I got woken up by an enormous fun run heading around the bays. The oxymoronic event was annoying on other counts as well. My friends that were heading over for breakfast all had trouble parking due to all the people that had driven in to go running. Jeez.
