Another 48 Hours

Wow. Another two weeks have passed. Reading over my blog, a lot of time seems to be focussed on how fast time is passing. And this year is just shooting by. But maybe this focus is adding to it. I shouldn't think about it so much.

So it actually didn't take long, I am sick of new flat. Not sick of it entirely, but my new attitude to flatting is Why Bother? One of the flatmates is too moody- move out! Bathroom still not fixed- move out! Meat-eating frowned upon- move out! So I am. Aiming for Ponsonby this time. And hopefully a nice grown up two bedroom. Has been fun living in Eden Tce with the guys, but it's not a long term move. Apart from anything else the flat is COLD, and Winter is totally rearing it's ugly head.

48 Hour Film Project was last weekend. Was three parts fun, one part nightmare. I picked out the Superhero genre and stayed up Friday night writing, which was great. Future flatmate Nick stayed up with me and totally kept me going with three parts wine, one part Red Bull (we drank a case!). Saturday we shot all day, after sorting costumes, set and makeup in the morning. By 11pm Hannah, Q, Will and I were at her father's 51st which was great. Brent on fantastic form as usual. Sunday I got into work at 12, to find that editing had only just begun as we had lost all of our digitzed footage. So we handed in a super rough film, nothing like it could have been, but we got it in on time. Which was some feat. Lots of teams didn't. And we have tons of plans for next year. But most importantly it was fun. I don't think I've laughed so much in ages.

Heard from my godfather in Boston for the first time ever this week which was great. Am going to get in touch with him, and may even go visit. Knowing my other godparent so well (Jonette), and having had her be such a big part of my life, I'm curious to meet Chuck and see why my parents picked him as well. I suppose I could just ask them, but I also kind of want to got to Boston...

Work fine, although may be taking over new job soon. Which I'm not too sure about. Uni is on the back burner a little right now which is dangerous. This weekend should be essay city but instead I'm being dragged up to ET's bach...yep dragged. He he.
