Round 2

Less than two weeks until my birthday fiesta which is exciting. And one week until Wellington, and just had the good news that Morgan will be playing at Happy when I'm down there.

A good weekend, drinks at Orchid, Kareoke, Burger Fuel, a great old style party last night, featuring a pool and a band (Autozamm) all crowned by the Summer Series, which was a great excuse to lazily drink beer in the sun.

And another poem...While the reception wasn't especially noticable last time, here's another one. Feel free to let me know what you think.

The Winter Garden

I turned to see you waving
through the gardens’ glass
set with run-your-hand-down steam.

We had run through a
never-found-again
clearing,
Tripping over roots
Just buried
And muddling through the thousand
little worlds of spiders.

But just as the day happened,
We knew not to talk about it again.

You tossed a coin into the water.
I can’t help but feel that
You shouldn’t have been so
definite,
In asking for just
six months more.
